About DEKRA Visatec

Founded in 1994, visatec's goal from the very beginning has been to make visual inspection easier and safer with technical innovations - even in harsh and demanding environments. We have achieved this goal for more than 450 renowned customers and projects around the world. In the process, we have grown steadily as a company and as a brand. What began with the shared vision of the passionate and experienced engineers and managing directors Siegfried Kraus and Uwe Reisacher has become a modern engineering company with around 40 employees. And a globally recognised partner for high-end inspection systems - made in the Allgäu.

Future-oriented and multi-certified

In order to meet the ever-changing requirements in the field of visual inspection, we have constantly expanded our product range since the very beginning. However, what has always distinguished us since our foundation is the development of innovative and individual complete solutions for visual inspection. Hand in hand with our development strength in the field of technology, we have therefore continuously expanded our visual inspection services.
Thus, our first development in 1996, the first focusable miniature camera, was followed as early as 1998 by pan-and-tilt cameras in a pressurised waterproof design, and in 2000 by the development of remotely operated vehicles (ROV) for the visual inspection of nuclear power plants - our special field. In 2005, our inspectors were certified according to DIN EN 473 (VT2). In 2010, visatec received ISO 9001:2008 certification. In 2014, we proactively expanded our portfolio in the field of sewer inspection and well inspection technology with the acquisition of Nicom GmbH.
As a still quite young subsidiary of DEKRA SE, we use synergy effects and open up new areas of visual inspection. By combining our know-how with enthusiasm, we stay ahead of our time as a brand as well as the people behind the technology. Always with an eye on global developments and change processes, we have the courage and the knowledge to accompany you safely and reliably in all stations and areas of visual inspection - worldwide.
